This work is a fragmented reconstruction of my childhood and the candy shop around the corner. After many years, the color is more vivid and all those sweet memories are full of flavor and freshness.
I want to preserve a place in my brain where I was full of illusion and joy, and invite the spectator to enter this world and taste the happiness of that moment with me.
"Guillermo Arismendi is a Venezuelan-Spanish artist, stablished in Tenerife, Canary Islands. He has been painting for more than 30 years, developing his language to express a very personal view. Many influences has contributed to give his work a distinctive signature: Music, dance, oriental calligraphy, sci-fi, and many other elements freely blended in.
In the last few years, he started to produce digital paints alongside with his oil works. The possibility to create high resolution artworks in the digital environment, allowed him to assume a more experimental and risky approach. The result is a series of original paintings where the joy of improvisation and unexpected color palettes express all the artist’s personality.
